vrijdag 9 mei
Vandaag hebben we 3 uurtjes in de auto gezeten om naar een geweldig mooi strand in Venice te gaan. Er was wel veel bewolking maar niet op het strand waar wij zaten. tegen 3 uur hebben we een hotel gevonden naar even te zoeken want het is hier wel duurder dan wat we gewend zijn, en wij zuinige hollanders..... Lekker zwembad erbij waar we de schelpen weer van ons af hebben kunnen zwemmen. Enzo heeft vandaag een beetje last van zijn buik en is moe zegt hij en ligt momenteel al vanaf 19.00 uur te slapen. Misschien last vd zon of hij heeft heimwee naar thuis. We weten het niet. Morgen nog een dag gepland in de dierentuin in Napels voor Ruben want die wil toch de krokodillen zien maar niet in het wild.....

I am so glad that you have a father who took the time to chronicle so many activities. It will likely be a comfort to you in the years to come. Everyone has a story. Every life is precious. I hope you have some privacy in your growing up years, as being the only survivor of such a catastrophe can yield some pretty crazy things. People, for the most part, will be well intentioned, but can also be entirely annoying. My hope is that you don't feel badly for surviving, but choose your life to be an adventure! For truly, your dad had that very spirit and filled you eyes with many wonders around the world. Grief is important, but so too, is life. I will be thinking of you. Shauna
You are a wonderful kid and seeing your little face so hurt and so in pain in the pictures on the web, made me so sad. I wish I was there to offer a mom's comfort. May your family rest in peace and for you to find the power to get over this tragic event.
